I’m only 33?

Yesterday, I celebrated 33 years outside the womb at my favorite Thai joint.  I had a great time hanging out with Trav, Kelly, my mom, my dad, Kourtney, McKenna, Blake, and Marcela.  I had a great time!

I know it’s not that old, but it’s not exactly that young either.  I can say I feel like I have gotten plenty out of my 33 years so far, but I have a lot more to get done!  Congratulations Mother!

    Happy Birthday….

  2. Yo dude. If I can spell ‘Marcela’ correctly (with one ‘L’) then you can spell ‘Kourtney’ and ‘McKenna’ correctly !

  3. What are you talking about Chris?

  4. Nice try – if you had only corrected ‘Kourtney’ as well ! 😉

  5. I am going to leave your messages up to prove that you are wrong! 🙂

  6. happy belated bro. Remember, age is but a number…nothing else.

    Happy b-day bud.
You’re not getting older, you’re getting “aged”… like beef.

  8. That’s what I’m talkin’ ’bout.

  9. Your blessed mother woke me @ 0400 telling me she thought it was time to go to the hospital, thirty minutes away in Sarasota. We lived in a sleepy village south of the hospital. I know it was a sleepy place that morning, cause as a resident of Laurel, FL, I certainly was sleepy. The situation awakened me like no alarm clock could.

I got the dope bag we had fixed for just for that moment and we headed north for Sarasota Memorial. About half way, Anne said,”maybe it is a false alarm.” Assuring her that it was alright to be wrong if it was a false alarm, but intolerable to turn around and be wrong and wind up being at the mercy of my untrained baby delivery skills, she gladly agreed that we forge ahead to Sarasota.

It was good thing we did. No sooner than we arrived, the nurses put my blue-eyed darling straight in delivery room, called Dr. Sullivan and Phillip popped out so fast that the good Dr., despite hurrying to the delivery room, had no time to wash his hands, but he did catch a healthy 8 lbs 10 oz boy, our second and last child. What a grand and glorious day that was. Many more wonderful days have come and gone since then and Phillip has steadfastly been a tremendous source of joy, satisfaction and pride for the immediate and extended Johnson family.

My mother and father lived in Sarasota and were there to enjoy the occasion of the birth of their second grandson. Mom and Pop Roberts came down from Isola, MS. It was their second third grandson. It was just magnificent.

  10. Phil, sorry for the typo. Your were the third Roberts grandchild/grandson and the fourth Johnson grandchild, as you well know.

Happy belated Birthday Phil! Many more blessed years ahead of you, you have blessed so many. I just LOVE the story your father shared, only a parent can truly celebrate again again the day of their babys’ birth. It is something you never forget, a treasured memory.
