The Fantasy Football Report

The LPC fantasy football league is under some sort of funk.  Currently, it is being led by a rookie and a team that has been dead since draft day.  Ritz won again in his strongest game of the year.  But Jesse‘s Fuser Heads won it’s 4th game in a row and is tied for first with Ritz at 6-1 even though there has been injured players and players on bye for the last three weeks.  This week, despite having a QB (Carson Palmer) who was out with an inury and his leading WR (Brandon Marshall) out on bye, the Fusers beat Fuzzy’s Dead Skins 94-93 on the back of Dallas Clark who had a monster game last night.  Of course, I lost my 2nd in a row, this time to Trav‘s Big Doggs which is one of the league’s hottest teams.  Bachrach is also coming on strong and destroyed the Turkey Buzzards who still has yet to win a game.  The top 4 teams will make the playoffs which start in week 15.  At this point, as you can see, all but the Turkey Buzzards have a legitimate shot at making the playoffs.  The matchups should be great.  I face Ritz, TJ’s Big Doggs faces the dead team with the best record in the league (Fuser Heads), Bachrach faces the Skins,  and the Dead Heads faces off against his wife’s Turkey Buzzards.

The league standings are now:

  1. Puttin on the Ritz 6-1
  2. Fuser Heads 6-1
  3. Fuzzy’s Dead Skins 4-3
  4. Citizen Cane 4-3
  5. Bachrach 3-4
  6. TJ’s Big Doggs 3-4
  7. Skins 2-5
  8. Turkey Buzzards 0-7

In Pickem, I had a pretty good week in both, but especially in the Vegas style pickem which I continue to lead.  In the Vegas league, despite Paul missing even putting in his picks in week 3, he is only down 6 points with 53, Trav has 56 which is still strong, and yours truly has 59 points.  In the big league (Second Chance), Alex had a huge week nailing 11 games on the nose to pull him one point out of first place behind Chris Day who also had a good week picking 10 games correctly.  Paul’s Skins had 9 correct picks to maintain his 3rd place status.  Trav’s Really Big Doggs, RacerX (James H), and yours truly had  8 correct picks to remain tied for 4th place.
