Sunday Life Pointe Talk Soup

-This morning at 7:28 AM I arrived at the Flagship Cinema, location of the Homestead campus of Life Pointe Church.
-As I was walking to the door, Chris Day (The Major) arrived. Usually he’s there before me, but he said that he’s probably not going to be there for me anymore. 🙂
-The 8:30 service was a little more underattended than usual, but the energy was incredible.
Alex played drums in the 8:30 and 11:00 service, Ritz played drums in the 9:45 service (and he improving greatly). Jesse played rhythm on the electric guitar and sang lead, Reina, Julie, and Nyrian sang back up, I was on the keys, Josiah played lead guitar and Bill played bass guitar.
-The worship music this morning was uplifting and enjoyable. We sang “Point of Difference” (I really loved this new song for us) and “Your Love is Amazing”, for communion we sang “Did You Hear the Mountains Tremble”, and during greeting we sang Julie led Bob Marley’s “One Love”. Flashbacks to yesterday! For closing, we sang U2’s “Where the Streets Have no Name”
-In the 8:30 service, Pastor Paul said he had the urge to “roll” his connection card after we sang One Love, very funny!
-The message was on Jonah’s Prayer, a continiuation of the Jonah series. Check out Chris’s blog for more detail on that.
-The service was so much fun today. I look forward to the possibility of being more involved and available each week.

    Thank you Phil.

  2. Ritz, keep working at it. You are getting better each time I hear you. One of these days, you may be almost as good as me. 🙂
